How I Rewired My Mind For Success

Your mind is your magic box.

It depends on what you use it for.

How do you ask your magic box for stuff?

By your thoughts and feelings.

Your magic box doesn’t know if what you are asking for is good or bad for you.

Or if it’s negative or positive.

All it knows is that you have asked for must be fulfilled.

Since it doesn’t have a regulator, we need to regulate our magic box.

Thus, rewiring your mind.

Before we begin…

Here’s a quick story about just what rewiring your mind can unlock:

Before knowing and understanding my mind, I:

- Got Cs and Ds in all subjects throughout my school life.

- Was exceptionally directionless and lost throughout my teenage years.

- Ran 3 of my initial businesses into the ground, raking up a loss of multi five-figures.

After I rewired my mind for success, I:

- topped my university in both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

- have built two successful businesses from the ground up.

- have doubled one of my companies twice within a year.

This is not to brag but to let you know just how important in life it is to have your wiring right (haha!).

Imagine if I had never rewired my mind, how would I go from straight Cs and Ds to university topper? Seems impossible, right?

How do you expect to receive something you are not even wired to accomplish?

How do you expect to find success if you are not even wired for success?

How do you expect to grow if you are not even wired for growth?

Hence, rewiring your mind for success is absolutely necessary.

The 3 Keys Helped Me Make This Transition:

I. Inputs = Outputs

Understanding the principle of "Inputs = Outputs" is crucial for personal and professional success.

Imagine your mind as a garden.

Negativity, fear, doubt – if these are your seeds, expect a bleak harvest.

But what if you plant positivity, knowledge, and inspiration?

Recognize how the information you consume and the influences you allow into your life shape your thoughts, beliefs, and ultimately, your actions and outcomes.

So this is the 1st step.

In my journey, this realization was pivotal.

I started by auditing my daily inputs:

  • the books I read,

  • the people I spent time with,

  • the social media content I consumed,

  • the music I listened to,

  • the movies I watched,

  • etc.

I noticed a pattern of negativity and unproductive thoughts stemming from these inputs.

They were like weeds, choking my potential.

Auditing my daily inputs was a game changer.

I immediately began intentionally seeking out only and exclusively positive and enriching inputs.

  • I completely eliminated aimless scrolling through social media.

  • I unsubscribed to all useless YouTube channels delivering absolute garbage to my mind.

  • I deleted all high-emotion negative rap music from my playlist.

  • I even got rid of all negative literature from my library.

I then completely immerse myself in learning and personal growth

Nothing will happen unless you get rid of your ignorance.

If you are in a rut, you need to become focused on learning and personal growth single-mindedly.

You need to learn constantly and work on improving yourself.

Unless you immerse yourself completely in learning about yourself, your mind, your psychology, and how to master them, you will stay in this fixed vortex of negative self-sustaining patterns.

Because the current version of yourself is not capable enough yet.

And you need to know what you don’t know as soon as possible.

As my inputs changed, so did my outputs. My thoughts became more focused on growth and success. I found myself more energized, driven, and productive.

This change was like planting a new garden.

Over time, with care and consistency, my mind became a source of strength and positivity, driving me towards my goals.

"Inputs = Outputs" isn't just a catchy phrase; it's a fundamental truth.

The inputs you allow into your life directly shape your mindset and outcomes.

Becoming disciplined with your inputs is the only way to rewire your mind for success.

II. Awareness Above Everything Else

Awareness is the cornerstone of any sort of transformation.

It involves being acutely conscious of our thoughts, actions, and the environment around you.

You cannot just keep 'sleepwalking' through life, where you operate on autopilot, making decisions based on unconscious patterns and influences on a daily basis - and still expect to succeed!

When I began to cultivate my awareness, things unlocked for me.

It began with simple practices like mindfulness and self-reflection.

Each day, I dedicated time to sit quietly, observing my thoughts without judgment.

Turns out we are not even aware of just HOW MANY habitual negative thinking patterns we possess that have been guiding our decisions unconsciously.

Additionally, I integrated awareness into my daily life by constantly questioning my actions and decisions.

  • Was I reacting impulsively or choosing based on aligned values?

This constant vigilance helped me identify and change behaviors that were not serving my goals.

By staying present, I became more receptive to opportunities and more adaptable to changes. This was crucial in avoiding the trap of rigidly adhering to outdated plans or ideas (which the previous “unaware and unconscious” me would have fallen into).

Awareness also meant acknowledging my past mistakes and learning from them, rather than brushing them aside.

The journey towards maintaining constant awareness is challenging.

It requires discipline, patience, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths about oneself.

However, the rewards are immeasurable. It leads to a more intentional life, where each decision is made with clarity and purpose.

III. Daily Efforts Toward the Vision

The path to success is paved with daily, consistent efforts aligned with a clear vision.

There’s no success but the one that you build brick by brick; with each day's effort.

The sooner you can accept this fundamental truth of life, the sooner you will stop sabotaging your own success.

The more consistent “effortful” days you stack up on each other, the sooner you win.

With that out of the way, here’s what you need to be aware of…

4 Things That Will Hamper Your Success:

A. Lack of Belief

Building self-belief is fundamental in the journey towards success.

If you lack belief in your ability to achieve things, there’s no way you will achieve it.

B. Lack of Clarity

Gaining clarity in goals is crucial for focused effort and effective decision-making.

Start by asking yourself introspective questions about what you truly want to achieve and why.

Clarity is crucial.

Knowing exactly what you want is the first step toward accomplishing it.

Even if you began, you won't know which pieces of the puzzle will go where. Because you simply don’t have the whole big picture clear in your mind.

Without clarity, you won’t be able to move much further.

C. Lack of Consistency

Consistency is key to progress, but it's often difficult to maintain.

In fact, consistency is a skill. And you can only build it with daily practice.

We have all been hit by the “shiny object syndrome”. Something will always look better, shinier, and more precious than what you are currently doing.

And it's fun to be creative, but if you change your mind too much, you might end up with a lot of unfinished things and nothing to show for your efforts at all.

D. Lack of Resoluteness

Strengthening resolve and determination often requires a deep understanding of your 'why' – the core reason behind your goals.

This understanding fuels perseverance, especially during challenging times.

You need to consciously build resilience through exposure to challenges and learning from failures.

Overcoming all of these big problems involves a combination of internal self-work and practical strategies.

But you cannot move toward success if even one of them is unfixed.

The 3-Step Process to Transformation

Step - 1: Intention

The transformation journey begins with setting a clear intention.

Identify what exactly you want to achieve and why it's important to you.

It's about aligning your deepest values and aspirations.

This clarity of intention acts as a compass, guiding your decisions and actions.

Set intention to achieve 3 big audacious goals.

Don’t be vague like “My goal is to succeed.”

Define what success is to you.

Define 3 things:

  • WHAT

  • BY HOW MUCH

  • BY TIME PERIOD/DEADLINE

Examples:

  • “Build the habit of waking up at 5 AM every day within the next 30 days.”

  • Grow my YouTube channel to 10K subscribers by June 2024.

  • “Get promoted to the position of [X] by the end of this year.”

This is setting a powerful intention with utmost clarity.

There’s nothing left to decode here, nothing to search for.

Your intention is crystal clear.

Step - 2: Decision

Now you need to commit to your intention and move beyond mere wishful thinking.

It involves deciding to change yourself, to take action, and to move out of your comfort zone.

Decide to become the version of yourself that’s capable of accomplishing the goals you have set above.

Nothing else will do it.

You have to become that version.

You have to embody your successful self.

And you have to lead him/her to your success.

Crack open your journal and write down your vision of the successful you.

  • What does he/she look like?

  • What is his/her mindset?

  • What abilities does he/she have that you don’t (yet)?

  • How would he/she operate in the situation you currently are in?

When you gain clarity on who you need to become - you will know what exactly you need to do to accomplish your goals and unlock success.

Step - 3: Action

Action is where you put your intentions and decisions into practice.

It’s the phase of tangible, consistent efforts toward your goals. You need to plan, execute, and adjust your strategies to align with your intentions.

Regular action creates momentum and brings your vision closer to reality.

Make a damn good plan by reverse engineering your intention.

Ask yourself…

  • What do you need to do every year to accomplish your intention?

  • What do you need to do every quarter to accomplish your intention?

  • What do you need to do every month to accomplish your intention?

  • What do you need to do every day to accomplish your intention?

Answer these questions about each of the 3 intentions you have set.

When you do, you will get your daily to-do list which you simply have to follow consistently, day after day, until your intention materializes into success.

Each of these steps is crucial and builds upon the previous one, creating a ladder of success that leads to meaningful change and achievement.

Do this for 2+ years and your life will be unrecognizable.

The success that was a distant dream?

It’s at your feet now.

This is how you make transformation happen.

This is how you succeed in the long term.

Try it and let me know if you have any questions.

Rooting for you,
